Professor Klaus Hesse from Hochschule für Gestaltung Offenbach Gave Two Week-long Poster Design Workshop for the Design Students

Professor Klaus Hesse from Hochschule für Gestaltung Offenbach, Germany came to visit NUA from March 17 to March 21, 2014 and gave two week-long poster design workshop for the design students. Professor Klaus Hesse, the dean of the visual communication school, is also the member of TDC (Type Director Club) from New York and ADC from Germany. Professor Klaus Hesse was also the co-initiator of the 11 Designers for Germany on occasion of the 2006 World Cup and of the 1st Graphic Design Biennale Germany China in 2010, and editor-in-chef of the “sushi” yearbook from 1998 through 2013. During the workshop he focused on the six subjects related with the local culture of Nanjing and the global social issues, namely, print lives, courage, pointed, show me your love, the history of digital evolution, about Nanjing(salty duck, plum blossom cake, or brocade). Under the construction of Professor Klaus Hesse, the 30 students from design department participated in the workshop and finished 160 pieces of works and held an exhibition of all their works. Professor Klaus Hesse gave introduction to the German graphic design during the workshop and detailed analysis and comments on the works after the exhibition.
