Feng Jianqin

Feng Jianqin, B.A., professor, supervisor for Ph.D. candidates, male, the Han nationality, born in November 1939 in Haining, Zhejiang Province, delegate to the 9th National People’s Congress, member of the Standing Committee of the 10th National People’s Political Consultative Conference, former vice chairman of Jiangsu People’s Political Consultative Conference, former standing member of the Central Committee of Democratic Revolutionary Party and director of the Standing Committee of Democratic Revolutionary Party Jiangsu, director of China Artists Association, vice chairman of China Artists Association Lacquer Painting Art Council, executive vice chairman of Jiangsu Artists Association, graduated from the Department of Fine Arts of Nanjing University of the Arts and stayed at the university as a teacher in 1961, took the post of vice principal of Nanjing University of the Arts in August 1989, and served as the principal of Nanjing University of the Arts from December 1991 to July 2008.

Engaged in education for over 40 years, he won national and provincial-level awards with his works for many times, won Jiangsu Excellent Teaching Quality second prize in 1988, won National Excellent Teaching Achievements Award in 1989, became a recipient of special government allowance in 1993, was selected as one of the Excellent Middle-aged and Young Experts in Jiangsu in 1997, engaged in the creation of fine arts while serving as a teacher; his oil paintings and lacquer paintings were selected by the National Fine Arts Exhibition held in 1974 and the 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th National Fine Arts Exhibition; oil painting Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge was collected by National Art Museum of China; lacquer painting Zhongshan City in Spring won the Bronze Award in the 6th National Fine Arts Exhibition and was collected by National Art Museum of China; his lacquer folding screen design Tangyue Xinxiang (Tang Music and Fragrance) won the Hundred Flowers Award for Arts and Crafts second prize and was selected by China National Arts and Crafts Museum; held the first solo exhibition in Jiangsu Provincial Art Museum in 1981; held solo exhibitions or joint exhibitions with students in Nanjing, Shanghai, Suzhou, Changzhou and Haining, respectively, from 1999 to 2001; held solo exhibitions in Japan and the United States, respectively, in 1995 and 2003; published Feng Jianqin Works Collection, Sketches, Painting Colors Comments and Analyses, Colors, Feng Jianqin Paintings Collection, Feng Jianqin Collected Papers on Art Education, Walking to Huangshan Mountain-Feng Jianqin Review Exhibition and other books or collections of paintings.

He published more than 50 papers, won the third prize of the 6th Jiangsu Awards for Outstanding Achievements of Philosophy and Social Sciences, won the first prize of Jiangsu Awards for Excellent Research Papers by Leaders and Cadres from the Educational System.
