Ju Qihong

Ju Qihong, male, born in April of 1943 Professor of Nanjing University of the Arts (Doctoral Supervisor), member of Chinese Musicians Association, member of Theory Committee of Chinese Musicians Association, member of Chinese Opera Research Institute, member of Society of Chinese Music Aesthetics, professional judge of opera and music opera for “Wenhua Award”, the highest national award for stage performance, member of Audio-visual Products Review Committee of Ministry of Culture.

Study and Work Experience:
1961 Entered the Music Middle School attached to Shanghai Conservatory of Music for studying
1969 Graduated from Shanghai Conservatory of Music
1973 Worked in Shanghai Song and Dance Troupe
1978 Pursue master degree in Music Theory in the graduate school of Chinese National Academy of Arts
1981 Graduated with master degree, and joined the faculty of Ethnomusicology Research Institute of Chinese National Academy of Arts, was promoted as researcher in 1994
2002 Teach in Nanjing University of the Arts, and now is the Director of Ethnomusicology Research Institute of Nanjing University of the Arts.
