The successful conclusion of the 6th Jiangsu Provincial College Student Art Exhibition saw from NUA submit a total of 12 professional shows (Group B) in the sections of art performance (vocal, instrument, dance, drama and recitation), artwork (painting, calligraphy and seal engraving, photography, design, microfilm and President's Style Award) and art workshop. NUA won 11 special, 17 first, 6 second and 3 third prizes as well as 6 Outstanding Creation Awards and 1 President's Style Award. Our dance group was also rated as the Excellent College Art Troupe in Jiangsu Province. The university was the winner of the Excellent Organization Award and pocketed the special prizes for all participating sections.

Among them, the calligraphy work A Poem in Memory of Xu Wuwen by Li Tong, one leading official of NUA, won the President's Style Award. The student's work Barrier-free Design from the School of Design received the special prize of the art workshop section. The university choir took the first position of Group B special prize of the vocal (chorus) section. After winning the Twelfth Chinese Dance Lotus Award Classical Dance Critics Award, the original female group dance  Waiting for the Yuhua Stone won first place in the special prize in Group B of the dance section. The above four works and three award-winning works in the artwork section will represent Jiangsu Province to compete in the 6th National College Student Art Exhibition in April 2021 in Chengdu, Sichuan Province. In addition, the choir of NUA was selected as a provincial university art group in Jiangsu, paving the way for better exchange opportunities for future performances.

The departments and schools of NUA had all attached great importance to this event and been preparing for it since 2019. Under the theme of Striving, Innovation, Dedication, they made a creation plan, mobilized students to participate in the competition, and sought resources from and cooperation with multiple parties. Adhering to educating, shaping and cultivating students with aesthetics, NUA has taken this important opportunity to promote spirit through aesthetic education and finally create high-quality works for the event. The award-winning students and faculty members have been elaborating on the works selected for the national competition to achieve further success at the national level and showcase NUA's fruitful results in art education to all universities in China!
