Music brings us together, even when we’re thousands of miles apart. NUA and Ain Shams University jointly promote the chorus of Chinese and Egyptian students to celebrate the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games

The introduction of the Chinese Embassy in Egypt spurred the School of International Education of NUA, the School of Music, the Media and Communication Department of the Beijing Organizing Committee for the 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, and Ain Shams University in Egypt to run a planning meeting for promoting the China-Egyptian student chorus to mark the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games.

Wang Shenggang, Minister Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy in Egypt, congratulated NUA on this cooperation with Ain Shams University in Egypt. Wang Shenggang said that the chorus of Chinese and Egyptian students should, fully founded on excellent art cultures of both countries and in the chorus of Chinese and Egyptian students singing classical songs, pay tribute to all of our peace-loving international friends and show a spirit of youth and vigor of students of the two countries.

The vice president of Ain Shams University in Egypt expressed his expectation for the China-Egyptian student chorus. The Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games coincides with the traditional Chinese New Year, which gives more cultural meanings to the chorus. More Chinese elements can be integrated herein to fully demonstrate Egyptian students' yearning and love for the rich and profound Chinese culture.

The related departments of NUA carried out in-depth exchanges with the Egyptian side on repertoire, chorus language and forms, implementing steps and other details. The relevant responsible people of the Media and Communication Department of the Beijing Organizing Committee for the 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games expressed their willingness to provide solid support for the chorus and promote their choral works during the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games to show the high spirits of the youth of China and Egypt and add a peaceful and friendly note to the Winter Games.

The choral performance of Chinese and Egyptian students is progressing steadily with the efforts of many parties since the inauguration.
