“The Voice of NUA” is spread in the 20th Games of Jiangsu Province |
In the evening of 28th of August, the 20th Games of Jiangsu Province opened in Taizhou. Teachers and alumni from Nanjing University of the Arts (NUA) sang “the Voice of NUA” in the opening ceremony, contributing to the success of the games!
In the opening ceremony, Jiang Xiaomeng, the professor from the School of Music of NUA and a National First-class Actor, and Zhang Dandan, Associate Dean of the School of Pop Music and a young singer, jointly performed the theme song of the games Love for Taizhou, igniting the sports passion of this old city and showing the “Strong, Rich, Beautiful, and Civilized” spirit of Jiangsu. Zhang Qiyou, a National First-class Actor and a young singer, amazed the audience with the breathtaking performance of Dream of Jiangnan.
The theme song of the 20th Games of Jiangsu Province, Love for Taizhou, is written by Qiao Wei and composed by Bian Liunian. Bian Liunian graduated from the School of Music of NUA. He is a famous performer and composer in China and is the Chief Music Designer for the opening and closing ceremonies of 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics. The performers, Jiang Xiaomeng and Zhang Dandan, are seen as an excellent team in the world of music in China. They have jointly performed the theme songs of the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2014 Nanjing Youth Olympics Games, Chinese Cards and Light the Future, and the theme song of the 2013 Nanjing Asian Youth Games, Our Asia. Besides, they have jointly presented over ten popular songs, such as Blossoming Times and The Most Beautiful Road.
