A delegation led by Ghada Saad, the Acting President of Ain Shams University in Egypt, visited our university
          On September 2nd, a delegation of three members led by Ghada Saad, the Acting President of Ain Shams University in Egypt, visited our university. Vice President Zhang Jie received the guests in the administration building. Representatives from the Department of International Exchanges and Cooperation, the Academic Research Department, the School of Design, the School of Industrial Design, the School of Cultural Industries, and the School of International Education attended the meeting.

Zhang Jie extended a warm welcome to the delegation from Ain Shams University and reviewed the history of exchanges between the two universities. In December 2021, our School of International Education, School of Music, along with the News and Publicity Department of the Beijing Organizing Committee for the 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games and Ain Shams University, jointly organized a grand chorus performance by Chinese and Egyptian students to celebrate the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, which received widespread acclaim from society. Zhang Jie expressed that both China and Egypt are ancient civilizations and are constantly seeking innovation. She hopes that the two universities can further promote mutual visits and learning between teachers and students, as well as cultural and artistic exchanges. She also emphasizes to expand cooperation in interdisciplinary fields such as art and technology, and art archaeology. Based on the signed memorandum of understanding, she looks forward to achieving fruitful results in the exchange between the two universities.

Ghada Saad expressed gratitude for the warm welcome from our university and introduced the art disciplines of Ain Shams University as well as its exchange programs with China. Ain Shams University is located in Cairo, the capital city of Egypt. It is the third-largest comprehensive university in Egypt, with a student population of 200,000 and seven campuses. Ghada Saad expressed the desire to promote exchanges and cooperation with the Nanjing University of the Arts (NUA) in areas such as design, multimedia, film and television, and interdisciplinary studies. Furthermore, she also extended an invitation for representatives from NUA to participate in the Chinese University Education Exhibition to be held at Ain Shams University in October this year.

After the meeting, the delegation from Ain Shams University visited the laboratories of the School of Industrial Design and learned about the achievements of industry-university-research collaborations. (Department of International Exchanges and Cooperation)
