Organized by the School of Dance at Nanjing University of the Arts and hosted by the Kun Dance Department, the graduation performance This is Kun Dance of the Dance Performance Major (Kun Dance Direction) of the Class of 2024 from the School of Dance was held on the evening of December 22, 2023, at 19:00 in the Red Chair Theater on the 8th floor of the Performing Arts Teaching Building of Nanjing University of the Arts.

With poetic dance in the clear winter, the lingering essence of Kun Opera rhythm flows through each graceful and lively movement.

In September 2020, the encounter began in early autumn when 12 students from the Class of 2020 of Dance Performance Major (Kun Dance Direction) gathered from all corners of the country with youthful passion at Nanjing University of the Arts, full of artistic aspirations. The footnote of their youth blossomed at this moment. In the lens, their smiles are like blooming flowers, with eagerness and hope in their eyes. Four years have passed in the blink of an eye, under the careful guidance of their teachers and the encouragement of their classmates, they have been fortunate enough to experience the indescribable beauty of the world of Kun dance.

What is Kun dance? It is the dance with the surname Kun – meaning simple, pure, and deeply profound. It embodies the soul of Chinese traditional culture, which is also the soul of Kun dance, and the dance of the soul represents the sincere beauty of life.

 Dance meets the heart, and the heart meets in dance. Kun dance is not just a physical memory but also a rhythm of the soul.

In this moment when youth dances with the beginning of winter, we have inexhaustible courage, freedom, and enthusiasm. Our limitless future is just the beginning.

Now we will embark on another journey towards a poetic life and the distant horizons. As we welcome the arrival of winter, let us infuse our graduation with a sense of ceremony, celebrating our remarkable and brilliant youth.
