The National Youth National Instrumental Music Education & Teaching Achievements Live Exhibition Activity, titled "Jasmine Blossoms," concluded on August 24th in Nanjing with a closing ceremony and comprehensive report performance at the Jiangsu Grand Theatre. The event was attended by Zhang Zheng, the Deputy Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Vice Minister of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, along with relevant provincial leaders.
Hosted by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and co-organized by the Department of Science and Education of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, and the Nanjing University of the Arts, the exhibition activity also received collaboration from the China Nationalities Orchestra Society. A total of 296 programs from 23 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities across the country were selected for the final evaluation and on-site exhibition, with 19 programs from Hong Kong and Macau regions invited to participate in the on-site showcase.Over the six-day event, the organizers successfully held 21 dedicated concerts, 3 selected courseclasses, a national instrumental music education & teachingsymposium, one keynote speech, and two sub-forum discussions.
During the closing ceremony, certificates were awarded to outstanding performers and organization units by key officials. Chen Dingkun, the Director of the Department of Science and Education at the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, along with Yang Zhichun, the Party Secretary and Director of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, presented certificates to exceptional performers in the solo category and recognized outstanding organization units. Additionally, Yu Feng, the Party Secretary of Nanjing University of the Arts, and Wu Yuxia, the President of the China Nationalities Orchestra Society, awarded certificates to outstanding performers in the group category andpresenters of outstandingselected courses.
Afterthe closing ceremony, a group of young performers from numerous art institutions, including the prestigious Central Conservatory of Music, came together to deliver an extraordinary national instrumental music extravaganza.
The Department of Science and Education of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the General Office of the Jiangsu Provincial People's Government, the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, the Jiangsu Education Department, and the Nanjing Municipal Party Committee and MunicipalPeople'sGovernment, along with relevant district committee and government officials, attended the event. Teachers and students participating in this showcase, members of the media, and folk music enthusiasts also watched the closing ceremony and the comprehensive report performance.
