From July 6 to 10, 2024, the "Living Future Smart House" Interdisciplinary International Workshop organized by Chiba University of Japan, took place at Nanjing University of the Arts (NUA). This workshop aimed to respond to the evolving technological and industrial landscape by fostering interdisciplinary talents with global competitiveness. A total of 82 students from 29 universities across China participated, hailing from a variety of disciplines, including design, architecture, medicine, etc. Professors Makoto Watanabe and Michiko Takagaki from Chiba University presented their latest research on smart buildings and health monitoring, highlighting the significance of humanplant symbiosis. Corporate mentors Shi Yimin and Tang Xinchun offered valuable career suggestions. Through collaborative efforts, students successfully conceived designs for future smart homes.
