On December 19, the “2024 China Art 50 Forum” was successfully held at NUA. Cohosted by the China National Committee for Terminology in Science and Technology (CNTERM) and NUA, the event brought together leaders and experts from 28 universities to discuss the theme “Building a System of Chinese Art Disciplines, Academic Frameworks, and Discourse Systems”. Pei Yajun, Deputy Director of CNTERM, emphasized the critical importance of standardizing art terminology to enhance cultural soft power. Yu Feng, Secretary of the Party Committee of NUA, called for collaborative efforts to promote the establishment of an independent knowledge system. During the forum, the Secretariat of the National Art Terminology Review Committee was officially established, and appointment certificates were issued to the committee members. The main forum, along with several sub-forums, delved into the construction of the “three major systems” in art studies, the principles and methods of terminology review, and the academic value of buzz words. These discussions provided both theoretical support and practical insights for the high-quality development of Chinese art disciplines.
