In August of this year, China witnessed the launch of its first AAA game, “Black Myth:  Wukong”. The game was developed with deep involvement from a team led by NUA  graduate Sun Muzi. This groundbreaking project exemplifies the successful integration  of art and technology. In response to the rapid advancements in information  technology, NUA is actively pursuing changes, leveraging technology as a tool and  interdisciplinary collaboration as a pathway to enhance its academic framework and  cultivate top-tier innovative talent.

NUA has established two new schools, namely the School of Digital Arts and the School  of Contemporary Music and Technology. By merging cutting-edge technologies,  such as digital twins and visual rendering, with traditional art forms, NUA aims  to create novel artistic expressions. Furthermore, NUA is consolidating resources  from government, industry, academia, and research sectors to develop innovative  platforms, including an Art and Technology Integration Park and a Metaverse Research  Institute.

In terms of faculty development, initiatives such as the “Hai Su Talent Program”  have successfully attracted seven national-level talents and 79 provincial-level talents  over the past five years. The outstanding achievements of NUA faculty and students  in various domestic and international competitions serve as a testament to the  effectiveness of high-quality education at NUA. Looking ahead, NUA aims to deeply  integrate into the context of China’s modernization, promoting rural revitalization  and aesthetic education services. NUA is committed to a new paradigm of “moral education” to write a new chapter in building a strong educational nation.
