From December 3 to 7, 2024, Vice President Lyu Shaoqing led an NUA delegation on a visit to the United Arab Emirates. During the visit, the delegation met with Zhang Yiming, the Chinese Ambassador to the UAE, to report NUA’s progress on the digital art upgrade project at the China Pavilion for the Dubai Expo, receiving commendations from the ambassador for their efforts. The delegation also explored potential collaborations with Mohammed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence by participating in its inaugural Scientific Research Festival. Additionally, the delegation attended the opening ceremony of the China-UAE Economic and Trade Exchange Center at the China Pavilion in Expo City Dubai. At the ceremony, Vice President Lyu introduced the NUA-led exhibition titled “Weaving Dreams for a Millennium—Cultural Exchange along the Belt and Road”. This exhibition showcases the history and current state of cultural exchanges between China and the UAE through digital art, and it received positive feedback from attendees. This visit significantly strengthened the cultural, educational, and technological exchanges and cooperation between NUA and the UAE, further promoting the international dissemination of Chinese culture.
