Recently, the inaugural Audio-Visual ArtConference, along with the launch ceremony of the Youth Audio-Visual Creation andTheoretical Excellence Promotion Program, was held at Nanjing University of the Arts(NUA). Co-organized and hosted by multiple institutions, the conference aimed to implement Xi Jinping Thought on Cultureand the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, exploring how audio-visual arts in the new era can better tell and disseminate China’s stories, while constructing China’s discourse and narrative systems.The event brought together over 150 participants, including scholars, creators, and media representatives from across the country. Structured around a comprehensive “1+1+2+2+4+10”format, the conference featured a series of activities, including the launch of the Youth Audio-Visual Creation andTheoretical Excellence Promotion Program, an editors’roundtable, thematic forums, and high-level dialogues. During the opening ceremony, leaders delivered speeches highlighting the pivotal role of audio-visual arts in cultural communication. The conference also officially unveiled the Youth Audio-Visual Creation andTheoretical Excellence Promotion Program, an initiative designed to foster collaboration between young talents, academia, and industry professionals, promoting deeper integration of “macro-audiovisual”theory and practice.
