Recently, theOpening Ceremonyand "Design Night" of the 2025 Nanjing Creative Design Week was held at the Nanjing World LiteratureHall, a landmark located at the foot of Jilong Mountain. This historic venue, once the study of late Ming Dynasty publisher and seal engraver Hu Zhengyan, known as the Ten Bamboo Studio, gave birth to the Ten Bamboo Studio Letter Paper Manual, lauded by Lu Xun as the “pinnacle of refined scholarly art.”Students from the Nanjing University of the Arts brought a creative dance performance Dance of the Letter Paper to the audience, which brought the manual’s intricate illustrations to life through graceful garden-inspired choreography, reviving the centuries-old legacy of the Ten Bamboo Studio Letter Paper Manual.
