| Two NUA Works Win "Best Work" prizes at 3rd Yangtze River Delta Professional Dance Showcase |
Two original productions from Nanjing University of the Arts (NUA) were awarded the "Best Work" prize at the 3rd Yangtze River Delta Professional Dance Showcase, held from October 20 to 21.Shijiu Lake Ballad, presented by the School of Dance, reinterprets the intangible cultural heritage pieceShijiu Lake Fisherman's Song through a contemporary dance lens. Meanwhile,Into the Painting, performed by the School of Higher Vocational Education & Adult Education, employs ink-wash freehand brushwork to evoke the poetic ambiance of the Jiangnan region. Both productions were highly praised by experts for their successful exploration in "transforming traditional aesthetics into contemporary expression".
