On September 3, the National Symposium on Higher Fine Arts Education was held at the Central Academy of Fine Arts. Leaders from the China Artists Association, the Central Academy of Fine Arts, the National Art Museum of China and the China National Academy of Painting, together with experts and scholars from more than 20 key art universities and institutions across the country, attended the event. They discussed topics including the mission of fine arts education under the national cultural-power strategy, industry-education collaboration and innovative educational paths.

Professor Zhang Linghao, President of Nanjing University of the Arts, was invited to the symposium. He delivered a keynote speech titled "Integrating Art and Technology for High-quality Regional Development." He shared the university's practices in linking fine arts education with industrial growth and put forward the "NUA Solution" for higher finearts education reform.

President Zhang noted that building a culturally powerful country is a major national strategy. New-quality productive forces driven by culture-technology integration set new requirements for talent training in art universities. Finearts and design education should serve national fundamental priorities in three aspects: boosting the development of a culturally strong nation via art, fostering new-quality productive forces through culture-technology integration, and supporting national strategies and high-quality development in Jiangsu and the Yangtze River Delta. Through these, it shall tell Chinese stories, upgrade industries, and support urban renewal, rural revitalization and intangible cultural heritage conservation.
